The Hydronix CIC-20SL Carbon Impregnated Scale Inhibitor Filter Cartridge is a high-performance 20-inch water filter cartridge designed to combine sediment filtration, chlorine taste and odor reduction, and scale inhibition into a single solution. Its dual-action construction makes it ideal for protecting water-using equipment while improving water quality.
This cartridge features a carbon impregnated polypropylene fiber blend for excellent dirt-holding capacity and effective reduction of sediment, dirt, sand, silt, rust, and chlorine taste and odor. Simultaneously, it utilizes Hydronix PhosCoat™ scale-inhibiting media to help prevent mineral scale formation.

The Hydronix PhosCoat™ phosphate media lays down a microscopic protective coating on internal plumbing surfaces, including pipes, tankless water heaters, fixtures, boilers, solar hot water systems, and appliances. This protective barrier helps prevent scale from forming and adhering to surfaces, extending equipment life and improving efficiency.
