Microline TFC-35A Reverse Osmosis System 50 GPD
The Microline TFC-35A reverse osmosis system effectively reduces harmful impurities, turning ordinary tap water into the water that nature intended for us to drink, fresh, natural, life sustaining water. The Microline TFC-35A contains the patented manifold plate which directs the flow of water through each of the filtration steps. The manifold design simplifies as it enhances the system by eliminating the need for individual connections between filtration stages. The Microline TFC-35A is tested and certified by NSF to NSF/ANSI Standard 58.
Prefiltrations: The prefilter protects the automatic shut-off and membrane from clogging with debris. The job of the prefilter is to filter out larger particles such as silt, rust, or scale, extending the life of your RO membrane and allowing it to reduce impurities. The activated carbon is used to reduce chlorine, which is necessary to protect the refined TFC membrane.
The Membrane: Here, most particles too small to be trapped by the prefilter are removed from the water and rinsed to the drain. The membranes microscopic pores allow hydrogen and oxygen molecules through which allows water to pass. The majority of dissolved solids and impurities are flushed into the drain and exit the system.
The "Final Polish": After the membrane, the RO water is routed to the holding tank. The storage tank holds approximately 2 gallons of fresh clean water and the automatic shut off tells the system when it's time to make more. When you turn on the drinking faucet and draw water from the holding tank, it then goes through its final stage of filtration, a carbon filter, designed to reduce any remaining tastes and odors before reaching your glass. The carbon imparts the final "sweet" polish to your water.

Microline will warrant its RO Drinking Water System (except for the reverse osmosis membrane), for a period of five years from the date of purchase. The reverse osmosis membrane is warranted for one year from the date of purchase. All implied warranties including merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose are limited to five years from the date of purchase for the RO Drinking Water System, except for the reverse osmosis membrane which is limited to one year from date of purchase. Some states do not allow limitations on how long an implied warranty lasts, so the above limitations may not apply to you.Product Videos

I am very pleased with my unit however I am curious as to the gurgling sound it makes when It refills with water. Is that mine or do they all do that?

Works great, no taste or chlorine smell in water. Easy installation. I did learn that the refrigerator has a reservoir tank for the drinking water and holds disinfecting water that has to be rinsed out completely.
