Each Sterilight system is equipped to inactivate chlorine-resistant parasites such as Cryptosporidium and Giardia, harmful bacteria like E.coli, and viruses not visible to the naked eye. Sterilight UV lamps should be replace every 9000 hours, or once a year to ensure the proper lamp intensity for optimal disinfection.  The ICE power supplies visually displays the remaining lamp life and will go into alarm if the lamp fails.
